ISO 9001 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

ISO 9001 is quality management system, originated in manufacturing and now employed across several types of business organizations. EWT has been independently certified with ISO 9001 since 3rd December 1997.

The system requirements are fully adhered where all the procedures, monitoring processes, records keeping, product checking analysis of data, non compliance reports, necessary preventive and corrective actions are in placed and regularly reviewed for continual improvements.

• EWT awarded for ISO 9001:1994 on December 1997
• Converted/upgraded to ISO 9001: 2000 on May 2001
• Converted/upgraded to ISO 9001: 2008 on Nov 2009

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ASSESSMENT SERIAL 18001

EWT has started to establish and implement a formal Health and Safety Management System according to the requirements of

• OHSAS 18001 : 1999 since September 2006.
• OHSAS 18001 : 1999 standard would be continuously improved to ensure no undesired health and safety risks takes place at the work place.
• OHSAS 18001 : 1999 certification awarded by SIRIM Berhad on May 2007
• The new certification of OHSAS 18001 : 2007 awarded by SIRIM Berhad on September 2009.

OHSAS in EWT emphasis a safe and healthy environment for all EWT staff. Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for continuing sustainability in achieving the above, EWT ensures :

• That all hazards associated with its processes are identified and the associated risks are evaluated and mitigated or reduced to an acceptable level.
• That the Health and Safety Management system is continuously improved to comply with current applicable Health and Safety legislation and with other relevant requirements applicable to its operations.
• That occupational health and safety objectives are set and reviewed on a periodic basis.
• To communicate this policy to all employees and make it available to interested parties.
• To review this policy periodically.

In order to realize EWT Health and Safety Policy, we have formulated the following objectives :

• To maintain zero accident by yearly targeted.
• To comply with all applicable Legal and other requirements.
• To identify and eliminate or reduce risk to an acceptable level for all potential hazards at workplace.
• To enhance operator skills for all operators working with specialized machinery.

ISO 14001 ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

As our concern to the environment,EWT has implemented the ISO 14001 system into our company.With objectives to produce product with high quality and to have better work place meanwhile continually improve and sustain the environment quality, EWT has :

• Introduce policy and objective and that include our commitment to the environment and the goals to be achieved.
• Implement all the plans to meet the objectives and targets.
• Identify the environmental aspect and evaluate the associated environmental impact related to EWT.
• Provide training to ensure employees are aware and capable to fullfill their environmental responsibilities.
• EWT has awarded the ISO 14001: 2004 Environment Management System by SIRIM Berhad on 25 June 2010.
